Workshop Participation Agreement

This Workshop Participation Agreement, Adult Waiver, and Media Consent (the “Agreement”) is entered into between FELD LEGAL PLLC d/b/a College Prep Lawyers (the “Host”) and the participant identified below (the “Participant”). If the Participant is under eighteen (18) years of age, a parent or legal guardian (the “Parent/Guardian”) must also complete and sign this Agreement.

Participant Information

Workshop Purpose; No Legal Advice

1. The Workshop provides general educational information regarding college preparation, admissions-related topics, academic planning, and related subjects.

2. The Workshop is not legal advice and does not constitute individualized legal representation or professional advice regarding any specific college application, school matter, financial-aid matter, immigration matter, disability accommodation, disciplinary issue, testing accommodation, contract, dispute, or other legal or educational matter.

3. Registering for, paying for, attending, participating in, asking questions during, or receiving materials from the Workshop does not create an attorney-client relationship with the Host or with any attorney, employee, presenter, contractor, volunteer, or guest speaker associated with the Workshop.

4. The Host does not guarantee admission, scholarships, financial aid, testing results, school decisions, employment opportunities, or any other specific outcome.

Eligibility, Parent/Guardian Consent, and Conduct

1. The Participant must provide accurate registration information, including the Participant’s correct date of birth.

2. If the Participant is under eighteen (18), the Parent/Guardian signing this Agreement represents that they are the Participant’s parent or legal guardian and have authority to consent to the Participant’s registration, attendance, participation, and media-consent selection.

3. Participants must behave respectfully, follow Workshop instructions, and avoid unsafe, disruptive, discriminatory, harassing, unlawful, threatening, abusive, or privacy-invasive conduct.

4. The Host may deny, suspend, or remove a Participant from the Workshop for incomplete or inaccurate registration information, failure to provide required consent, nonpayment, violation of this Agreement, unsafe or disruptive conduct, or conduct that interferes with the Workshop or other participants.

Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability for Adult Participants

1. Participation in the Workshop, whether in-person, virtual, or hybrid, may involve risks, including slips, trips, falls, contact with others, travel-related risks, property loss or damage, illness or communicable conditions, technology failures, unauthorized access, privacy issues, or recording and screen-sharing issues.

2. The Participant (and, for a minor Participant, the Parent/Guardian on the Parent/Guardian’s own behalf) acknowledges and accepts the ordinary, inherent, and incidental risks associated with attendance at and participation in the Workshop.

3. Adult Release of Liability: If the Participant is eighteen (18) years of age or older (“Adult Participant”), the Adult Participant knowingly and voluntarily releases and discharges the Host and its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, presenters, volunteers, affiliates, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of or relating to the Adult Participant’s attendance at or participation in the Workshop, including claims for personal injury, illness, property damage, or wrongful death arising from the ordinary negligence of any Released Party, to the fullest extent permitted by Florida law. This release does not apply to claims that cannot lawfully be waived or released, including claims arising from fraud, intentional misconduct, or gross negligence to the extent legally non-waivable.

Minor Participants

1. If the Participant is under eighteen (18) this Agreement does not rely on a Parent/Guardian signature to release, waive, or extinguish the Minor Participant’s personal injury or negligence claims to the extent such a pre-injury release is unenforceable under applicable Florida law.

2. The Parent/Guardian authorizes the minor Participant’s attendance and participation in the Workshop and agrees, on the Parent/Guardian’s own behalf, to the conduct, payment, privacy, recording, media-consent, verification, and other administrative terms of this Agreement.

3. The Parent/Guardian is responsible for determining whether the Workshop is appropriate for the minor Participant and for providing supervision where reasonably appropriate, including for virtual participation.

Recording, Privacy, and Media Consent

1. Participants may not photograph, record, screenshot, livestream, copy, distribute, publish, transmit, repost, or publicly post Workshop content, other participants, presenters, chat messages, or Workshop materials without the Host’s prior written permission.

2. Workshop discussions, chats, shared materials, participant submissions, and communications are not confidential or privileged and may be visible to other participants, vendors, platform providers, or service providers involved in Workshop operations.

3. The Host may photograph, audio-record, video-record, screenshot, transcribe, or otherwise document the Workshop for legitimate operational purposes, including administration, attendance, security, training, accessibility, quality control, legal compliance, recordkeeping, and dispute resolution.

4. The Host may use registration, contact, attendance, and participation information to administer the Workshop, communicate with Participants and Parent/Guardians, provide reminders and educational materials, maintain business and legal records, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

5. Promotional or public-facing use of a Participant’s name, image, voice, likeness, photograph, statements, or recorded participation is permitted only if the applicable consent below is affirmatively selected. Promotional or public-facing use relating to a Minor Participant requires Parent/Guardian initial below.

Workshop Materials

1. Workshop materials, slides, handouts, templates, recordings, exercises, worksheets, and related content are owned by or licensed to the Host and are provided solely for the Participant’s personal educational use.

2. The Participant may not reproduce, distribute, sell, publish, upload, transmit, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit Workshop materials without the Host’s prior written permission.

General Terms

1. The Host may reschedule, modify, convert the format of, or cancel the Workshop for operational, scheduling, safety, weather, emergency, enrollment, presenter availability, or technology-related reasons.

2. Any applicable refund, credit, cancellation, or transfer policy provided in the Workshop registration materials is incorporated into this Agreement.

3. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Workshop shall be brought exclusively in a state court located in Hillsborough County, Florida, or in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

4. If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

5. This Agreement, together with any Workshop-specific registration materials, payment terms, cancellation terms, or written policies provided by the Host, constitutes the entire agreement regarding the Participant’s registration and participation in the Workshop.

6. This Agreement may be signed electronically or in counterparts. Electronic signatures, scanned copies, and digital acknowledgments are intended to have the same force and effect as original signatures to the fullest extent permitted by law.
